Dr.Mahmood received his BA and MA in English Language and Linguistics from Baghdad University (1983, 1985). In 1997, he received a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Translation from Al-Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad / Iraq. Over the past 22 years he has been teaching English courses of Grammar, English Phonetics and Phonology, Sociolinguistics to BA students and Morphology, Syntax and Phonetics and Phonology to MA students in Al-Mustansiriyah University, Diyala University (Iraq) and in Applied Science University and Al-Isra University (Jordan).Dr. Mahmood is currently an Associate Professor of Linguistics and Translation, Diyala University / College of Education for Human Sciences / Dept. of English.
